Think about your thoughts


Yes, make the effort to sometimes think about what you are thinking. Make the effort to pin it down, no matter how slippery it may be. That’s the first step to having control and mastery over the things that are happening in your internal world.

Sometimes, we have to do that emotional labour of being both an actor and a spectator in our own reality. That unique ability to take an observatory posture at what is going on internally is worth honing.

Not just to observe but also to cheer or to critique when necessary.

And to do the latter without emotions and sentiments. To halt our internal system when we are having destructive thoughts (and our minds is running wild at our expense) or to support our system when we are having constructive thoughts.

Think about what you are thinking about!
