Part of the works of the renowned physicist Isaac Newton, was the 1st law of thermodynamics, which says that energy can neither be created nor destroyed, but can only be converted from one form to another.
It turns out that in our social interactions and corporate circles, the opposite is true. At every social interaction, be it in the form of a meeting or a project endeavor that involves a group work, someone is either creating or destroying energy at every point in time. You can’t be neutral. You are either contributing to the work or taking from it through negative energy.
I think that at any moment when we are not the one leading or are not able to summon enough courage to be the guy who stands to speak or attempt a solution, the least we can do is to clap and to spur others.
Do it first. Do it on purpose. Whether others join or not, it doesn’t matter. See that as the least that you can contribute. Propagate the energy.
Turns out, when we take the initiative to start, others often join.
